About Me

Hi, my name is Zach or ZachMoT on the social medias and I am an illustrator!

I was born and raised in Dallas, TX and have been making art basically since I could hold a crayon... I first began taking drawing/illustration seriously in High School - around the age of 15, but ended up taking a long hiatus from it when I went to college for Film Post Production and Photography. In 2019 I picked Illustration back up and reignited my passion for expressing myself through this creative lens. As I’ve built my skills in illustration I simultaneously have worked in the Film Post Production and Video Production industries doing everything from Short Film Trailer and Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, and Videography.

Learning to illustrate starting from essentially no experience has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things in my life so far. It was unexpected to me when I started and was focusing mainly on the fundamentals just how much of inward journey art/illustration would be. Also, just how wonderfully endless the journey is. I have learned more about myself, life, and the world than I ever would have otherwise and truly love the blessing of just being able to engage in the process of creation.

The subject matter of my Illustrations largely consists of fantasy/science fiction related themes. The equipment I use consists primarily of an iPad Air 5, an Apple Pencil 2, Photoshop, nibs, brushes, ink and watercolor.

Outside of all this art stuff, I am a Dungeon/Game Master, avid video game enjoyer, comic book reader, husband, and finally dog and cat dad.

 Proficient in Procreate, Photoshop, Aesprite, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Audacity.
